Anyway to find out if the layouts are fully approved by competing authorities (like BBMP, BMRDA, BIAPPA) in Bangalore?

I am not sure about BBMP, but if you want to find about BMRDA or BIAPPA approved layouts there is some information available in their respective wesbites:

http://www.biaapa.in/ - there look for LIST OF LAYOUTS

http://www.bmrda.kar.nic.in/residential-4.htm

But that is usually not enough in the case of plot verification in Bangalore. You should get your property papers thoroughly verified by a competent lawyer. And as an additional measure ask them to cross-verify these approvals by physically visiting these government offices.

Thanks Krishna. Your advice in physical verification is really useful as BIAPPA and BMRDA websites are not up to date and the recently approved layouts are not on the published list. Most buyers will be buying in such newly formed layouts.
