An A-Khata is essentially an account that the BBMP maintains to access the tax that it will charge on your property. An A-Khata is given to a property only if it has been developed/constructed as per the approved plan by BBMP. In case the property was NOT developed as per the approved plan, an entry will be made for that property in a B-register kept in BBMP for tax calculation. It is also commonly know as B-Khata. An A-Khata will comprise of a Khata Certificate and Khata Extract. On the other hand, in case of B-Khata only a Form B Property Registry Extract will be available.
